Nestled among the historic buildings of Old Street, St Werburghs City Farm is an oasis of nature. It was created by a group of committed volunteers led by a local resident, and they set out to create a ‘place of learning and education that would serve the local community’s needs. The farm covers six acres of land, including a moor and woodland, a small pond, and three fields of grazing land. The organisation has also secured Lottery funding, which has enabled it to expand, and it now boasts a comprehensive range of wildlife habitats, modern facilities, and a range of activities for people to enjoy in the great outdoors. On your visit to the farm, you will find a great selection of animals, from pigs, sheep, and goats to cows, llamas, and alpacas.
